Graco Evo Love - It’s the Final Week of the Ambassador Challenge!

Posted on

Eek! In just a few days the challenge will be over and Graco will name their new ambassadors for 2013. Myself and 4 other mummy’s have been busy road-testing the Graco Evo and sharing our thoughts across various social media platforms.

Coming up from me will be some product demos and an in-depth review of how this fabulous stroller has made a real difference for us. I’ve had so many travel systems I’d struggle to name them all but trust me all the others are now locked in the shed (and there is no other one Dexter would rather be seen in). So please keep checking in this week to watch more videos and find out all about the Graco Evo! It goes without saying, if there are any questions you are more than welcome to ask.

So - to kick off the last week of the challenge - here are some of my favourite moments during the trial. Dexter’s smiley face says so much more than I ever could.

Go on - give them a cheeky little ‘like’ on Facebook, and follow them on Twitter

“You’re not going out dressed like that”

I took Dexter for a mini walk this morning in the snow. We didn’t have too much here in Reading overnight but there’s lots falling now as I type. Dexter was making all kinds of cute noises as he watched the snow fall on my head - I wish I could get inside his head to see what he makes of it.

We were sharing our walk with countless children on their way to the nearby secondary school. It was a fairly typical sight with boys gathering snowballs and girls giggling at the boys. As a side note, I was seriously impressed that we didn’t get pelted by a snowball. In fact, I walked past 3 groups of boys and each time a few members shouted to their mates “Hold fire lads. Baby!” which I was seriously impressed with. Teenagers get so much undeserved bad press nowadays, it’s nice to be able to share the positives.

One things that never fails to amaze me is the outfits of the girls. It’s freezing temperatures outsides yet I counted at least 6 pairs of bare legs! I had to stop myself from taking pictures as these children aren’t mine and they’re doing a good enough job of exploiting themselves without finding themselves splashed over the web.

I’m not completely out of touch - I remember all-too-well rolling up my skirt the second I left the front door. I also wore a fitted shirt to school that accentuated my boobs, and heels I could hardly walk in. Despite this, I always passed the ‘parent test’ and mum and dad were always happy I was suitably dressed. It left me thinking what the parents of these girls were thinking.

Okay - these are teenagers. There’s every possibility their parents have gone to work and didn’t wave their babies goodbye - but if they did, what on earth is going on?! It’s minus temperatures outside! Dexter and I had countless layers on and I was still worried about keeping him out too long. Maybe I’m just getting old…
